This grand piano (KAWAI) has been played by many people at recitals and other events held at the hotel since its opening. The piano, which I had been using for nearly 30 years, was in such bad condition that I thought I had no choice but to throw it away. However, after receiving advice from a music shop that "it can be repaired," I had it repaired and tuned by the manufacturer, and it has now returned to the hotel. To commemorate the store's renovation in 2019 and the hotel's 25th anniversary, we decided to lay glass over the mosaic-tiled water feature in the lobby and place the beautifully restored piano on it, creating a "Street Piano"-like experience. However, a hotel is a certain degree of private space, unlike a train station or a government building.Diverse guests share the hotel's atmosphere and enjoy their time in their own way.We would like to have someone who fully understands this point and will perform with consideration for hotel guests play this piano.
We are grateful to Hiroko Nakamura, one of Japan's leading pianists, for giving us the wonderful name "Hotel Cadenza," and we hope that many guests will enjoy the space filled with the sound of the piano. We hope that you will play our beloved piano with care, and we will operate it as follows.
